FROM POWERPOINTS TO WEBSITES AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN
We started creating business websites in 1999. It was an easy transition from the large publications we were producing. The flexibility, and the ability to tell a story is still the most exciting part of web design.
We broke ground on all of the functionality (animation, dropdown menus, video) when it was first developed. Some things have remained the same - Information Architecture and Graphic Interface design is still based on market research, and we take that into consideration with every site we design and build.
We have changed in 20 years as well. Focusing now on using WIX a browser-based software that has e-commerce, and other business services plug-ins readily available inside the program, it also automatically updates, unlike it's competitor WordPress. Another benefit to WIX is our clients can easily learn to edit their own sites.
We follow ADA/WCAG compliance, and want to make sure these best practices are incorporated into the websites we create.
We design a template that adheres to the Brand and help develop a plan for executing the campaigns. We assist our clients to extract their email list from outlook, or other email programs then clean it up and import it into the email campaign program. We've used both MailChimp and Constant Contact.
We've done insertions in magazines, tradeshow and event catalogs. We like to align with the editorials the magazine might be running.
4-color multi-page publications, merchandise printing, and large format. We publish documents in acrobat with active links and forms.
We have been creating trade show displays and signage since 1989. Some include enhanced AutoCAD floor/site plans for realtors and property developers. We also have experience with Public Art displays such as the 1500 Project in downtown Walnut Creek 350' x 6' fine art display on a construction site.
We have been designing and desktop publishing slide presentations since 1988. PowerPoint, Keynote and Google slides. We design the template and incorporate video and animation.
IDENTITY AND BRAND GUIDES
It's not just a logo. There is a process behind identity development and branding. Even the perceptually simple ones like the BSCA's 2022 National Specialty's "The Mountains are calling and I must go." have a back story. We occasionally work with an identity specialist as we did for the Davis Central logo.
We spent many years creating graphics for engineering processes and editorials. We do our best to simplify very complex systems. From A/E projects, haz-waste remediation, pipelines, and residential, commercial and industrial development projects.
